It can, but only under certain circumstances and even then there is no guarantee. It cannot be a very serious offense-so if you have a number of DUIs it is probably not possible. Also, if someone was seriously injured or hurt in conjunction with your DUI, it is unlikely. But there is a process that you can go through to attempt to get a DUI expunged.
Below is an article on DUI expungement.
Another View: Only if THE CHARGE WAS DISMISSED or YOU WERE FOUND NOT GUILTY.
If you were found guilty, in my experience, the CRIMINAL portion of the charge MAY be expunged from your criminal record (depending upn the laws of your state) HOWEVER - the DMV record of the charge will always exist because it is a necessary and permanent part of your entire driving history and the basis on which the penalty for any subsequent DUI violation would be predicated.
If you are from California you should be able to expunge it, go visit this page:

Mel Gibson got his DUI expunged and he resisted arrest. Why can't I just because I live in NC.
If you were charged with a DUI after July 1, 2006 it is 10 years before your record can be expunged.
Depending on your state's law but typically no. Even when something is expunged it is still accesible by the police.
You may be able to have the criminal charge of DUI expunged (although I seriously doubt it), the DMV record is NOT expungable. It becomes a permanent part of your driving record.
You can have your record sealed, or your DUI expunged, but it doesn't always mean what you think it means in plain English. The law in Nevada requires 7 years for misdemeanor DUI, 15 years for felony DUI, before your record can be expunged.
Yes most criminal covictions as a minor will be expunged due to the fact your a MINOR.
I just got my second DUI, can I get my M2 license?
It is almost impossible to have any felony expunged if you were convicted of the infraction.
The criminal portion of the DUI might possibly be expunged from your ciminal history record, but it can never be expunged from your driving record. Your driving record truly is "forever" and is a complete record of your driving history from the very first time you were issued your license.
It can be, but it's not a particularly simple or inexpensive process.Additional: As above, I believe the CRIMINAL conviction of DUI MAY be able to be expunged, however the DMV record of DUI will always exist. Your DMV record is a cumulative total of ALL your infractions and, especially in the case of DUI's, can be used as an enhancement factor to the sentence if you should commit any further DUI's in the future.
After a certain amount of time it can be expunged, yes
