Can a Elgato Game Capture HD work on a PC? I'm might get one for Christmas (getting The Sims 4 and a pc) I don't want people to waste there money on something that wont work on my gaming system (pc)
Yes, the Elgato Game Capture HD comes with its own software for Mac OS X 10.7 or higher.
As of right now anything with Analog and HDMI works with the Elgato, so every next gen console works and every old gen with analog works as well.
Processor: Intel Core i5-4200U CPU @1.6GHz-2.3GHz RAM: 4.00GB 64-bit operating system
You need a device like the Elgato Game Capture HD 60 to display the PS2 game play. Make sure your laptop fits the technical specifics before purchasing.
A standard NTSC Roxio Game Capture HD will not work with an English TV as they operate on a different frequency. It is possible to purchase a compatible model in the UK or to use a similar model.
There is no video out on any 3DS model, the only way to capture video from one is to record the screen with a camera, or install an expensive hardware modification that splices a USB port into the wires that go to the screen.
You need a HD PVR or DVC100 capture card. HD PVR has Hd quality but expensive but if u want regular quality at a cheaper price, the Dazzle capture card is for you. You can get these items at walmart, best buy, or other electronic stores
If you're not in the mood to read below, my quick answer to you is to get an AVerMedia Game Capture HD. There are plenty of types of recording devices. Black Magic and HD PVR are at the top of the market but they, in my opinion, are the worst. You constantly have to have your computer plugged into them and they are the bulkiest. They record in full HD and allow you to stream but there are better examples I state further. Roxio Game Capture is probably the worst you can get. The price you find it at is exactly what you get. It records in 720P at best and is just as bad as an HD PVR when it comes to recording. The middle, top-of-the-line (in my opinion) capture devices are AVerMedias. I own the AVerMedia Game Capture HD and I love it. You never have to record with a computer program running and it records in FULL HD 1080P. All you need is a small USB thumbdrive or internal hard drive (2.5 inch) and you can record for hours. I own a cheap SanDisk 32 GB USB and I can record for 272 minutes on 1080P. However, since the Game Capture HD won't stream (which isn't a bad thing because streams aren't too popular with newer YouTubers), there's an alternative. AVerMedia makes a game capturer which is a bit more expensive than the Game Capture HD that runs just like a DVR. It's called the Live Gamer HD. All AVerMedia devices I recommend to you because I own one myself and it's, by far, the best game capture device I've ever had. Visit their webstie: http://www.avermedia-usa.com/AVerTV/
If you want to record you should buy a game capture device. examples of these things are: - The dazzle platinum - HD PVR - roxio game capture There are probably many more but these are just examples.
It will work but it won't be HD.
Tristar MX HD PVR works in the UK because I play on line with two friends from nothern Ireland and another from England. We all use the Tristar MX HD PVR to capture our gameplay without a capture card or a computer nearby.
There's only 2 HD Capture Cards that I've heard of which are... HAVA at www.myhava.com and PVR Hauppage at http://www.hauppauge.com/
