It is possible that they CAN breed but its not a good idea. they are not only different species but different genus. in the event that they do successfully mate the eggs would be infertile and it would cause stress on the female and have possible complications
In the wild, most species would not interbreed because of differences in range, breeding mechanisms, etc. In regards to human dictated crossbreeding, it really depends on how closely related they are. Some species can be hybridized but most cannot be hybridized successfully.
