You can do this using Office 2007. Just click the Office button (circle button on upper-left of the opened MS Powerpoint 2007, then click publish then copy to CD.

Make sure you will use CD-R not CD-RW. But the output CD is digital CD that can only be played on computer and can't be played on CD player.

(PP2007) When the presentation is ready, click the Office Button (in the very top left hand corner), point to Publish and click Package for CD. Give the CD a more meaningful name and add any other presentations needed on the CD. If you did add more presentations, click Options and choose to let the user select the presentations and click OK. Insert a CD and click Copy to CD.

(In PowerPoint 2003 the command is in the File menu but otherwise it is identical)

under file you have an option pack and go this converts your presentation to a stand alone program with its own viewer you can then burn this onto disk
