I just researched this, and I was told that no child no matter how young is allowed to travel by air to Mexico without a passport. My child is 3 months old, and we are going when she will be 8 months old and I was told that she must have a passport and my husband and I must go to the nearest passport agency to fill out everything and sign the necessary documents.
