It would be bypassed by the mode door in the ducting under the dash. You may have have a problem with your mode door if your compressor is turning on when you select A/C. If the compressor clutch does not engage it is likely that there is an insufficient charge in the system, and you may have a leak.
Remove the water from your 1998 Chevy Camaro cooling system. Remove the water supply hoses from the heater core. Remove the heater core retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new heater core.
Check fuse if the blower is not working. If it is then replace your heater core. if its not then replace your fan switch.
Up and under the dash, in the center console.
I think they are just called heater hoses.
