Best Answer

When a substance is heated to its boiling point, the liquid begins to turn into a vapor. Thus, both phases of matter (liquid and vapor) will be present.

Boiling point is the temperature at which atmospheric pressure equals the vapor pressure of the liquid. For this reason, the liquid is able to be released into the atmosphere as a gas.

What are three charictaristic property's of matter?

Matter is anything that has mass and occupies space. Now since it has mass and volume it has a density. The density again can lead to various states and these states lets us know the freezing and boiling points of matter. Thus density, boiling point and freezing point are the boiling point of matter.

The freezing point and boiling point for matter is a constant Explain this meaning of constant?

It means that the freezing or melting points do not change, that they are always the same, depending on the type of matter. For eg. the melting point or freezing point of water is 0○ Celsius and the boiling point is always 100○C.
