This does not and will not go away without proper treatment and if not treated properly it can cause serious problems for your future such as not being able to conceive. Someone carrying chlamydia is still infected, and will test positive for chlamydia. It's possible to have chlamydia without having symptoms, and to be able to spread the infection to sex partners.
