skin pigmentation can come from the genes you carry and are made up of. so if you had 5 siblings and 1 was ofdarker skined and 4 who were of fair complexion and all 5 siblings went and had 3 children one of the fair complexion siblings could have a darker skined child and so forth.

Well it depends if the parents with darker skin have ancestors eith a dominant trait that is light skin or parents that their ancestors have a dominant trait also as light skin :) so the child may have the possibility of having a child with light skin color :) just finished the chapter in my school :)

Hope this helped :)

Yes, I had one myself. If both parents have light skinned people in their family trees, then you can definitely have a light baby.

Yes. As long as both parents have some alleles for dark skin their child's skin may be lighter or darker.

no because the black mom could have had the child before she married the white man

Can white man and black woman produce a totally black baby?

yes and they can also produce a totally white baby. However the children of that child will probably be mixed in colour because the child still inherits and passes on the genetic codes of it's parents.

Can two white people make a black child?

It is possible to have a set of twins with one white child and one black child, if they are fraternal. Two eggs can be fertilized in rapid succession by fathers of different races, or the phenotype of one zygote is for light skin and the other for dark skin.

Can a non white father white children?

Hmm... yes. Not racially "white," but very light-skinned. If you are, say, a "Halfrican" (half white and half African American), and your partner is completely white, you could have a very fair-skinned child. It's all about pigmentation in the skin. (Just make sure the child never goes tanning. Haha.)

What will a black and a ruby eyed white gerbil produce?

Is a black skin gene more dominant than a white gene?

Yes and No.There is no such thing as black skin gene and white skin gene. There are many genes that decide the pigmentation of skin.Since 1910 researches have known that human skin pigmentation is "Polygenic"(Pertaining to two or more genes. As opposed to monogenic").It is not as simple as black vs white equals black. Infact that is impossible.Since a very dark skinned black person who has offspring with a very light skinned white person will never produce a very dark skinned black offspring. And them genes will be lost forever. However the same is not true the other way around. We have known that complexion is polygenic, rather than the result of one gene with many alleles, because breeding of palest with darkest yields a spectrum of offspring genotypes from the same parentsWe have known that human pigmentation genes are additive and codominant because half the offspring of differently skin-toned parents have a complexion between that of their parents (no matter how similar the parents).Several independent genes must work in concert to produce the deepest complexion-the extreme of the darkness adaptation.Where knowledge has improved over the past century has been in precisely how many genes are involved and their specific loci.As of 1998, five human pigmentation genes had been identified. Their symbols and genome loci are: "TYR" at 11q14-21, "TYRP1" at 9p23, "TYRP2" at 13q31-32, "P" at 15q11.2-12, and "MC1R" at 16q24.3 (Sturm, Box, and Ramsay 1998).Many things can go wrong and, when they do, the result is a lighter complexion. For instance, deleterious mutations at the five loci above result in various forms of albinism,But no genetic defect can make the child of light-skinned parents come out dark.Another words. You need two dark parents to produce a dark child. But you don't need two white parents to produce a white child.Also. Black vs white = most likely equals brown. So neither skin tone wins.

Can mixed babies be dark skinned?

The color or race of two parents does not gurantee that a child will be born with the same color or appearance as the parents. You cannot mix people like a crayon when it comes down to genetics. For example, usually when you mix black and white you get gray. But we are human beings. If you have a black parent and one white parent, the child may come out black. It may come out white looking, or it may come out tan or different shades in between. So, if you have two dark skin parents the child may come out dark skin or light skin or an in between color. Anyway, it doesn't matter. Just pray that your child comes out healthy and gorgeous because cuteness has nothing to do with color. I can show you an ugly baby within any race.
