A bump can be caused by many things like acne or a bacterial infection. How ever if the bump comes with any itching, burning, tingling or pain then it could be oral herpes.
Don't freak out, this is a very common infection and nothing serious or fatal. Oral herpes is what causes cold sores on the lips.

∙ 14y agoi don't think so. you can have cuts from dry lips. i used to get them and they hurt like heck. i put a cream on it and they healed.
