The firing order on the head is 1-2-3-4 starting from the driver side. On the distributor it should go 1-3-4-2. I'm not really sure where the number one on the distributor cap is. Looking at the distributor from the passenger side, it should be the the top left or bottom left.
If I'm not mistaken, according the the service manual, the firing order is 1-3-4-2. clock wise 1-2-4-3
Inside the distributor cap. 3 screwes hold it down. Remove them, pull off the dizzy cap and you will see the coil.
