A doctor does have the right to refuse treatment to almost anyone, for almost any reason. Just as a patient has the right to refuse treatment from anyone.
Yes they do. Most likely, a paramedic will then have them sign a waiver claiming that they refused aid. This prevents anyone from being responsible for them.
Absolutely. Except in a life and death situation.
yes it can. it happend to me.
Nope
No. As long as you can make the payments for all the fees and hospital charges, they cannot refuse treatment.
A hospital is obligated to treat you. However, the cost of the treatment will increase if you cancelled your insurance.
Yes but only if you are in america......Otherwise if you are in Australia they cant refuse due to Australia's public health system!!
Check the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA)
People have a right to refuse medical treatment. Be sure to have a witness in case there are legal problems later.
No. EMTALA regulations prohibit the witholding, by any hospital, of potentially life-saving interventions arising from medical emergencies.
What is their probable cause to search, and... where is their warrant? More importantly, were you given the right to refuse "treatment" in your patients "Bill of Rights"? Most "Bill of Rights" forbid retaliation for exercising your rights!

This question is rather vague, but I imagine what you're asking is under what circumstances is a normal (i.e. non-mental health) hospital legally obligated to admit a patient. A hospital has a right to refuse treatment under normal circumstances. It cannot refuse treatment in cases of trauma if doing so would result in death, permanent injury, etc. The (rare) exception is in a large-scale disaster of some sort - if a thousand people are critically injured in a volcano eruption, obviously a hospital with 200 beds is not obligated to admit all 1000.
A health department can refuse a person service. They can refuse for different reasons.
Yes. While an emergency room can not refuse to treat anyone, a hospital is not obliged to provide non emergency surgery.
A psych patient, I think, can refuse getting a treatment like any other patient, unless he endangers himself.
