Theoretically it is possible. An infected 'person' goes through phase where they are both still living and incubating the vampire contagion. This would be the condition of being a half-vampire. The condition however is not permanent, the body can over-come the contagion and there-after be immune to 're-infection' from the same source. Such if the condition of many thralls. Re-infection however might be possible from distantly related sources. In certain cases the contagion become symbiotic with the host, usually the child of a vampire father, but other derivations have been known. Usually in these cases the person lives a near normal life as they have no need to resort to their vampiritic abilities while they are yet living.
The same logic would apply to a dog although I know of no such an instance.
There are no such thing as vampires.
A creature that is half dog and half frog.
Half human-half dog is called a youkai. half human-half fox is called kitsune
Inuyasha is half dog demon. inu means dog, neko means cat.
Vampires do not exist, so they don't live at all.
