Yes ducks can lay eggs without mating, the won't be fertile, they need to mate for that and to have baby ducks maybe by artificial insemination? are you asking if they artificially inseminate ducks?

They could, but no baby fish would be in the eggs because they wouldn't be fertilized. It's just like when you buy chicken eggs at the store and there are no baby chicks inside. This is because there was no fertilization from the male chicken.

YEs ducks will lay without a drake- just means that they wont be fertalized so cant hatch but if you just want eating eggs then no drake will be fine ( chickens lay eggs without a rooster) :)
