right to bear arms is a constitutional right. if you have no felony convictions, i know you can have one. if you have been in a mental institution you cant have one. if you have a job in law enforcement you can have one but you need to ask Immigration. call and ask concerning hunting with a gun. you don't want to alarm anyone so if you ask "i have been invited to go hunting this winter but don't know if i am suppose to have or use a firearn of any kind, can you inform me? that way they won't get the wrong idea.

To PURCHASE a firearm in the US, you will need to be a citizen, or a permanent resident alien. However, some NON-resident aliens MAY purchase SOME firearms. If you are in the US on a student visa, and wish to go hunting, if you have a hunting license, you may purchase a rifle of shotgun without having a "green card". Inquire at a knowledgeable gun dealer. If you are an illegal alien, you may not purchase or possess a firearm.
