As long as it's not too hot or too cold, guinea pigs can travel comfortably in a car for a whole day. Keep them in a box lined with newspaper and straw and do not ever put them in the boot or they'll suffocate. Give them a bit of fresh grass or carrots to munch on. Also, don't leave them in a hot car while you go inside to a restaurant.
