IF something happens to the bee and it doesn't use its stinger and it dies, it still has its stinger. The stinger is still able to be used even after death. So if you step on a dead bee it can still sting you.
no
In fact there is a risk that you can be stung by handling a recently deceased bee. Obviously a dead bee is not moving so it would require you to press the sting against your skin.
Beekeepers who inspect bees under a microscope are careful to avoid this happening because it is a possibility.
Even beached and dying jellyfish can still sting when touched. In 2010, at a New Hampshire beach, pieces of a single dead lion's mane jellyfish stung between 125 and 150 people.
only if they haven't stung anybody before they died
