US Supreme Court justices have recused themselves from cases many times across the history of the Court.Judges, justices and magistrates are required (or encouraged) under federal law to disqualify themselves from any case in which they may have a conflict of interest. It would appear that if your case was a "Bench Trial" and you can prove malfeasance on the part of the judge you may have grounds to appeal your case.HOWEVER, if your case was tried by a jury and the jury found you guilty, You would have to show strong evidence that the judge swayed the trial and/or the jury's decision against you.

No because it is unconstitunial and many dont like it. If you are in a court case you shouldn't mention this as the judge will possibly deny it.
