Not a good idea since the space may be subject to extreme variations in temperature from freezing in winter to over 100 degrees in the summer, depending on location. Freezing will break the glass and spill the liquid, overheating may also crack the glass and the contents will leak. Keep the lamp in a temperature controlled environment. It works best at about 68 degrees F.
