Yes it can.
whats required for swapping automatic to manual transmission in a Mitsubishi eclipse 1997
Yes the transmission will fit in a 2000
Buy BG Synchro Shift to use in your manual transmission; Mitsubishi highly recommends it to maintain smooth shifting. If Synchro Shift isn't available, any GL-4 transmission fluid of viscosity 75W90 is suitable. In the automatic transmission, use ATF+4 automatic transmission fluid.
That model of Eclipse came with a 4 speed automatic or a 5 speed manual transmission.
Automatic 2.4L takes 8.1 quarts Manual 2.4L takes 2.3 quarts
The Engine Control Module (manual transmission), also known as PCM Powertrain COntrol Module (automatic transmission), is located interior under the glove box.
its in your manual... i have a Mitsubishi eclipse gt 2002 manual and it needs SAE 75W-85W (GL-4) don't know about the A/T...
This depends on if the eclipse is automatic or manual and also if it is the turbo model or the non-turbo model.
if it is a manual transmission there is not one.........if it is an automatic check between the firewall and the motor on the driver side maybe low and difficult to find or may be near top of block..........how this helps
probably ,BUT automatic tranny has it's own computer ,manual tranny has different computer ,so now wirnig harness and computer come into play.So your local junk yard has a conversion chart for all cars, like this 1995 part will work in a 2000, etc... talk to a good junk yard and they will probably be able to answer that question .
No
if its an automatic then you fill it from the dipstick. It should have a red handle and be located on the drivers side of the vehicle. If it is manual you have to get under the car and there is a plug on the top of the tranny
