It all depends on the state or country's laws where you are at. Some have a 3 year rule... if your 16 and he's 19 its ok. If you're 15 and he's 22 that's going to be statutory rape.
Note that parents cannot consent to someone breaking the law. In most places the age of consent is 16 and any sexual contact under that age can be a crime.

∙ 11y agoThere are no laws for dating, only for sex. It's the parents who decide but there is common sense required. A pedophile for instance is interested in a prepubescent child but there and there no reason why a child so young would date. So it depends on what you mean by child. Minors can fate adults if the prents say so but if the child is too young the CPS would be interested since it would nto be appropriate and in the child's best interest or safety.
