Bad spark plugs, coils are coil, bad injector. Cam are crankshaft sensor
If you have a bad cam sensor there will be no input sent to the computer signaling the position of the cam/crank...etc, and there will be no signal sent to the coils telling them to fire. So yes, a bad cam sensor will in part cause no spark. Try a new sensor, or pick one up for cheap from a junkyard.
Yes. A bad cam sensor can cause slight hesitation of the vehicle, ultimately resulting in complete loss of power suddenly while accelerating. If bad, the cam sensor worsens, possible causing the vehicle not to start.
if is model with computers etc, most probable cause is the cam positioning sensor
computer uses cam sensor to adjust injector pulse so, yeah , it sure could, if it has one
how do you k now the cam sensor is bad
A bad cam or crank sensor can cause a no start, but the engine will still crank or turn over.
Engine sensors will only "go bad" from environmental effects. Lack of oil causes excessive heat. Heat can cause cam sensor failure
It will change the cam It should be set with tech 2 scanner +-2 degrees or can cause misfire and crossfire and could damage your engine
No it will not start need to change the cam sensor & crank sensor!
The cam sensor seal can cause a leak if not installed correctly.
almost any malfunction in your car can cause a drop in gas mileage (including the cam sensor) any time when your engine has to try harder to do what it is meant to do or is confused, and has to guess, due to a bad sensor it can cause poor mileage, and even further damage to your vehicle ex: a bad cam sensor can also make starting your car take longer possibly damaging your starter.
