I hope so. Similar situation. My baby is two this week.
I suggest you contact your State's child support agency. Be polite but persistent. Good luck!
Contact Child Support Enforcement every 24 months.
12 months with no contact whatsoever (including child support payments)
If you haven't already done so, you can sue for child support. And if he doesn't want anything to do with the child, he can sign over his parental rights. But if you have no interest in making contact with the father other than talking about the child, you should make that clear to him.
I am not sure what it is there. But here in Ohio after 1 year of a parent not paying support and/or having any visitaions, then if you take them to court you can have them sign off all parental rights for abandonment. The best thing to do is contact a lawyer for a free consultation and get their advice.
because the childs endocrine will need to mature and grow Every 3 months so 1/900 childs wont be healthy
Yes, they will not discriminate.
No, it's clear he is not the father and therefor have no parental rights, he is the step dad. Only the biological parents pay.
In Missouri, when as father has had no contact with the child, by choice or by denial of access by the mother, for at least six months, the child can be adopted by a stepparent.
Depends on the state. It can be 6 months to a 1 year without paying child support etc.
If there is no court order in place for child support, you will likely not win a court case for back child support. If the case is currently handled by a recovery unit, you can sue for nonpayment.
You can contact DCFS to determine YOUR rights such as child support from the father. However, in most states you will find that the law offers the biological father of the child certain legal benefits and the right to a 'relationship' with his child.
