A plane can not completely stop in the air unless it is a special type of plane. Normal passenger or commercial planes as well as military planes can not stop completely in mid air though some helicopters can stop in mid air.
No it cannot. Even with forward momentum, it could not be said to have stopped.
Fire itself cannot float in mid-air. It is pulled by gravity towards the ground just like everything else.
Certain airplanes such as the Harrier, can float still, spin and reverse in mid air. This is due to vector thrust engines that have rotating exhausts and louvers that can be pointed downward
There are places you can go and pay for sessions in a room where the floor is undustrial fans. When you lie down you float in mid-air. It's very expensive though - I saw on television.
if a plane stopped in mid air it would just fall and probely not because it would be going to fast for it to fast to just stop!
Yes, in fact small things like bacteria, dust, etc. float in mid-air.
just walk off the stage and you will float in mid air
No.
No.
Airplanes stay aloft due to lift created by the airflow around the wings at speed. When speed decreases so does airflow. Less airflow means less lift.As the plane reaches stall speed, the force of the lift becomes less than the force of gravity. At that point, gravity will force the plane down.
you need a 100 foot tall crane with thin wires in broad daylight
