Treason is the crime of betraying ones country, or even just the betrayal of someone or something.

The House can only impeach, but this is only the first step towards taking a person out of office. The next step after impeachment is a trial by the Senate ending with a vote to convict or acquit. It takes a 2/3 majority to convict and remove from office.
