Yes. If someone wishes to bring a platypus to Ireland then it is certainly possible. A platypus cannot come to Ireland on its own steam however as its legs are too small and it does not have the stamina, sense of direction or even will power to undertake such a journey. It is a very shy creature also so starting out on such a huge journey would be out of character.
