Can a priest be a policeman?

There is nothing saying that priests cannot be police officers. That said, there may be a conflict since they have sworn to keep the sanctity of the confessional. It is hard to know everyone's darkest secrets and to not use that information as a police officer. That could put such a priest in some legal trouble, if they are required to give information that their faith does not permit them to give.
