if you are looking for the direction of rectifier than Yes. the rectifier convert the alternating current to one directional Direct current. It work as short circuit on the case of forward biasing and work as open circuit on the reverse biasing so it can work only in one direction.

Why silicon controlled rectifier doesn't work in reverse biased condition?

Because when reverse biased it behaves like any other rectifier/diode.

Which one is good center tap or bridge wave rectifier?

Either, it depends somewhat on application.

What happen if all the diode in bridge rectifier is reversed?

it will work as a rectifier . because the AC current to be rectified will not be effected by this change. the out put DC polarity will be changed.

Why rectifier is not used in dynamo?

rectifier is not used because of damaged of problemAnswer.Because there's no need for that since the lamp on your bicycle can still work on the induced AC power.

Conclusions of full-wave rectifier?

A half wave rectifier is not as effective as a full wave rectifier. With a 1/2 wave, you are throwing away one hump of the sine wave...either positive or negative portion. With a full wave rectifier you get both humps...either positive or negative. The resultant effective voltage is much greater with a full wave rectifier, because there is very little time when the voltage is zero. The half wave is zero for 1/2 of the cycle.

Which rectifier has good efficiency?

bridge rectifier is the best rectifier.

What happens when a rectifier stops working?

it no longer rectifies the current it is either open or shorted must be replaced

What are the advantage and disadvantage of full wave rectifier with filtre?

either less ripple or ability to use smaller filter

How do you test the rectifier on a 1993 ultra classic?

The proper way to test a rectifier is to disconnect the wire coming from the rectifier to the circuit breaker and test it for 14 volts with a multi-meter. If it puts pout less than 13 it is bad. It is a common problem and one can usually assume that if the battery is losing charge, a new rectifier will remedy the problem.

Either way you answer will be good for my purposes. Either come in or stay out. Just CLOSE THE DOOR! Will either answer work for you?
