Regions can be of any size. The definition of a region is a geographically similar area. Lets say for example a big region: The pacific Ocean. A small region, a small greenhouse. A region is a medium-scale area of land or water, smaller than the whole areas of interest (for example, the world, a nation, a river basin,mountain range, and so on), and larger than a specific site.
The small intestines are in this region.
The umbilical region is the region in the centre of the abdomen... the only thing there is you intestine (small)... pain in this region can indicate other things... so get any checked out... but the umbilical region is only a very small portion of the abdomen.
