Yes it can but it is fairly difficult and expensive, if electric you will need to take out the full mechanism and replace the metal panel with a new one, if you can get one, best chance the states, making sure it is the right color, if not carbon fibre ones and glass ones are available but more difficult to find, bolt and screw back on re- attach the interior trim, and and check that the sun roof is a tight fit as before.
There is absolutley no reason to remove the entire mechanism..........open the roof slightly....pop the inner trim cover.......you will need to bend the cover slightly to get it out......you will see 4 nuts......undo them....go outside the car and lift the panel out...SIMPLE.
For refitting locate the 4 holes for the studs...set the roof in place...get inside the car and put the nuts on Finger tight......close the roof and let it locate itself.....then nip up the 4 nuts....check it opens correctly......if not slacken the nuts and close the roof again.....if ok tighten the nuts........replace inner trim......make sure it is fitted into the support bracket at the rear of the roof.
Its a good idea to clean in and around the sunroof area when the panel is out.
Yes it can be replaced with 93-97 panel and most of the interior will also work and everything on the exterior will also work..
Yessir, it will.
you have to remove the rear quater panel pillars and clips and the three clips in the rear headliner and simplely pull down on the headliner and it will be right there
first of all close the sunroof fully, then pull down the trim cover (held on by pop type clips). Then you will see 4 10mm nuts, 1 in each corner. Remove them and then carefully lift up the sunroof to remove.
Have you replaced the seal? Sounds like a silly question, but if the seal is replaced correctly, it shouldn't leak, unless the mechanical componets that move the sun roof up and down are worn out or out of line, or dirt or grime is keeping the sun roof from closing completely. Make any sense?
driver side fron kick panel
In the fuse panel in the engine compartment Relay # 21 is the fuel pump relay on a 1996 Ford Probe ( Helpfull )
Unscrew the screws on the side of the door panal and around the door handle on the inside and pull the window lever off. On Probe's with power opt's, the screws will still be near the controller, just don't pull too hard on the panel. You can unclip the controller once the panel is loose.
Click on the link below Click on Owner Guides The owners manual ( which includes the fuse panel diagram ) can be viewed on-line
Well the engine probably fluded, and depending on how long it sat, it probably rusted, if that is the case, then it is useless. Sorry.
You have to remove the inside door panel then you can see the holding assembly
Under the kick panel right behind the firewall you'll see a panel with 3 push in buttons holding a panel on, pull that off and the computer is right there. It can be accessed from either side.
