i can not say that gaur and maithil get married.but u can get married in same gotra but shaka must be differ.
No you cannot marry in same gotra. Its prohibited in vedas. And it also has a scientific reason yo marry in same gotra there will be a genetic disorder in offsprings.
No they can't
If the question is from a Brahmin or Kshatrya family then the answer is - Generally No. Because both appear to be belonging to the "bharadwaj" Gotra. However in special case if the girl is adopted & donated by his maternal uncle then it may be permissible. But if they belong to any other community it may not be a hurdle because rattan bhardwaj & awadh bhardwaj may be a different clan in those communities..
According to Hindu Caste System people of similar gotras can not marry. Because they will be brother and sister of each other.
People of same 'gothras' marriage is not advised

Yes according to gotras as long as you are from different gotras you can marry each other. But also Caste System do matter in Hinduism.
Same gotra means that you are children of the same forefather. Which makes you brother and sister. It is a taboo to marry one's sister. However you can ask any temple leader about this problem he will clear your doubts.
