I honestly can't see how. A return receipt merely ensures the mail was delivered. Attempting to use it as a "vote" of any kind would be problematic; since the USPS requires a signature before the parcel is delivered, the recipient would have no way of knowing nor reason to suspect that simply signing a document saying they recieved a parcel would be treated as a vote at all, let alone whether it would be considered a vote for YES, NO, or PURPLE MONKEY DISHWASHER.
No, a signature on a USPS certified return receipt cannot be used as a YES vote. Certified return receipts are primarily used to confirm delivery of a mail item, and they do not serve as a voting mechanism. Proper voting procedures should be followed, such as using a ballot or other designated voting method, to cast a vote.
The cost to send Certified Mail through the USPS is $3.30. This is for up to one ounce. If you want a Return Receipt, it will cost $6.48.
how do we get copy of money order from usps without a receipt? We Lost our receipt
Relax. They are still going through the huge amount of last minute mail. Wait a few weeks before panicking. And actually, never panic on this..you did exactly the right thing by sending it certified. Legally, the IRS has receved your return...a USPS mailing receipt for certified or registered mail (see IRC Sec 7502(c)) is considered prima facie evidence of receipt by the US Government (IRS), and your certified mailing receipt proves this happened on time. You're completely covered.
no
i got a usps for to pick up certified mail but it was close is it bad news to get a certified mail.
When ANYONE sends certified mail they receive a return card, normally a green one. This becomes proof that a certified mail has been sent and the recipient has received it. The sender can then proceed to the next legal step.
it cost 1.00 to
find out the receipt number then copy it and look this question up on google. you will find a website telling you to put your receipt number. then you can find out when you should receive the package
If you lose the receipt with the delivery confirmation, there is no way you can retrieve it. Even if you call 1800-ASK-USPS. Trust me I just tried after I noticed no one answered you question. Hopefully this will help anybody else asking the same question.Note to self: HOLD ON TO THAT RECEIPT!
"Delivery Confirmation" is an optional purchased feature for some classes of mail so that the sender is notified that the item has been delivered. It is not the same as "Signature Confirmation" or registered mail. It is a feature that allows the sender to know when an item was delivered. Most easily determined by web access tracking the item by unique number.
A certified letter should be written just as any other business letter, but you should note above the name and address of the person to whom it is addressed "Sent Certified Mail, Article No. ***********" The Article Number should correspond to the Certified Mail Receipt form (PS Form 3800) from the USPS. This means that you should pick up the form from the Post Office before you print your letter, so that the article number can be printed, rather than hand-written in.
That first depends on whether you requested tracking or "delivery confirmation" when your package was shipped. If you have, it will be located about halfway down the receipt and will have 4 sets of 4 numbers (16 digits total). You can track the package via USPS.
