no, it would damage the controller specifically the buttons and anyway why would u want to lubercate it? if its sticky use a sponge and soap, but dont go near the buttons or you will risk messin up your controller
I suggest trying rubbing alcohol. It shouldn't damage the rubber. Wet a small area of a cloth and rub the controllers gently.

You, try reassigning the controller. If you dont know how to, push the small button on top of the controller and do the same to the small button on front of the Xbox.
It only takes a couple minutes to program a wireless controller. If the controller is wired it can be plugged into one of the two usb ports on the front of the console or the one usb port on the back. If the controller is wireless then you must press the small button on top of the controller and the small button on the front of the console to sync them.
If you mean program as in connect it to the console, you hit the small connection button on the 360, then the small connection button on the controller. They should sync automatically.
