It respawns you next to your team in most team games. It will respawn you close you your area of death in a free-for-all. Search and Destroy games have no repawns. And all hardcore gametypes have a spawn timer. It also has an item that replaces your grenade called "Tactical Insertion" which is a flare that when used is placed right beneath you. When you die you will spawn right on that flare once. Enemies can destroy it or wait for you to spawn on it and shoot you in the back. Thus named "Tactical Insertion".

Boosters are when two people in Modern Warfare 2 who know each other and decided to boost in large maps where they will not get caught doing it. Boosting is when two people on opposite teams boost in a place on a map where they will not be found. One place a tactical insertion down and the other person kills them. Then, the person who died before keeps putting down a tactical insertion so they will spawn there and get killed by the other person. This tactic is mainly used by noobs who want to get high kill streaks such as a chopper gunner, ac-130, emp, or a nuke.
Search and Destroy, Seek and Destroy, or even simply S&D, refers to the military strategy that was deployed during the Vietnam War to search for hidden enemy camps and then to kill everyone there using massive firepower.

In the Vietnam Conflict, the US Military used primarily "Search and Destroy" tactics. These involved sending troops into an area with the hope of inducing an ambush or sending them in to destroy enemy camps.
