This is the standard NIDA test and it cannot detect either one. It can only detect morphine, heroin, and codeine. Oxycodone and hydrocodone must be tested for specifically.

On a routine drug screen is there any difference between percocet and hydrocodone on the results?

Yes. There are particular panels on drug screen tests. Hydrocodone (vicoden) tests positive for general "opiates". There is a special panel for oxycodone.

Are hydrocodone and oxycodone the same on tests?

can you fail a drug test if you take hydrocodone and oxycodone at the same time

Can a 5 panel hair strand drug test tell the difference between roxicodone and loratab?

5 panel tests are urine tests. To answer your question, yes, a hair test will flag positive for hydrocodone and oxycodone(same thing as roxicodone) depending on whos testing you, a GS test will verify and tell them exactly what it is.

Is hydrocodone the same as oxycodone?

They are similar in that both are synthetic opioids. However, OxyContin is a brand name containing the generic oxycodone. Hydrocodone is a generic name used with the brand names Vicodin or Lortab. Hydrocodone is less powerful than oxycodone. Thus, OxyContin is more powerful than hydrocodone.

Does codiene show up on drug tests?

Oxycodone is an "opioide" and will show up on drug screenings. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxycodone

CAN A URINE TEST DETERMINE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HEROIN AND OXYCODONE?

Oxycodone is an opioid; heroin is an opiate. Both will show as opiate drugs on standard employment type random drug tests. But there are other types of tests that differentiates between opiates, and opioids, and also the levels of the metabolites of these in the urine, showing how much a person is using.

If you'm taking hydrocodone why wouldn't it show up in a urine test?

Hydrocodone is a synthetic opioid, and (oddly enough), many standard drug tests don't test for synthetic opiates such as hydrocodone, oxycodone, or fentanyl. The common tests usually test for morphine and codeine, which are the products of heroin. However, a doctor or employer can request a test specifically for synthetic opiates. Look here for more info: http://www.erowid.org/pharms/hydrocodone/hydrocodone_testing.shtml

Will hydrocodene test positive for oxy?

No. It will test positive for Hydrocodeine/Hydrocodone. Though similar in chemical structure and name, Hydrocodone and Oxycodone are two entirely different chemicals, and they show up as such. On most home drug tests/cheap drug tests all pain medications will fall under the general term "Opiates".

Does percocet show up on drug test?

Yes, percocet (Oxycodone Hydrochloride) is an opioid derivative and shows up as an opiate on drug tests, along with Morphine, Dilaudid, Hydrocodone, etc.

Will perocet and hydrocodone both show up as opiate's?

Yes, Also the standard drug screen for opiates looks specifically for the presence of either morphine or codeine. And will detect the presence of oxycodone as it cross-reacts with morphine in these tests. But oxycodone does NOT break down into either morphine or codeine. Hydrocodone may not cause a positive result in a standard opiate urine test (hydrocodone does not break down into morphine, and is therefore not detected by these tests). But many will detect hydrocodone (and hydromorphone, which it breaks down into). So for both test results will depend on the particular type of test that is used (new drug test detect synthetic opiates).

Can doctors tell the difference between methadone and oxycodone in urine sample?

No. Absolutely not. They are both oxycodone. Oxycontin is just a longer acting formulation. Yes they can. The tests at my doctors can definitely tell the difference. one will show up has Oxycontin and the other will show as oxycodone. Now they have tests to make sure patients are using the drugs prescribed. Depending on the test the dr. uses it will tell this difference

How long does it take to get oxycodone out of your system and pass a pee test?

yes, all opiates will produce a positive result. the liver metabolizes hydrocodone into oxycodone metabolite thus showing positive result for an opiate even though the person was taking hydrocodone. this is the standard for detection of hydrocodone and oxycodone. furthermore, morphine is tested with a positive result detecting codeine. however, methadone is metabolized a little differently and thus tests will show positive for methadone if testing is done on methadone differentially. if a test looking for opiates in general, then it will be positive for any and all opiates at that time. likewise, other tests can specifically look for heroin, morphine, and methadone. i do not believe testing differentiates b/t hydrocodone and oxycodone because of the aforementioned so the answer to your question is yes.(for use only as general advice, please use further personal research to validate and confirm these statements.)
