Yes.

Put the tooth back yourself. If it is replaced within 5 minutes it can replant itself successfully.

  1. Don't put a baby tooth back as it may damage the adult tooth bud in the socket causing deformation or tooth dilaceration.
  2. If it is an adult tooth, gently rinse the tooth with saline/milk/contact lens solution. The patient's saliva can also be used. DO NOT rinse it with water (if you really have to, just for a few seconds).
  3. Hold it by the crown. Don't touch the root or scrub it. The layer of cells on the root surface must not be disturbed.
  4. Success is best if an adult tooth is reinserted in the socket within 5 minutes.
  5. Don't reinsert a tooth if there is a chance the tooth may be inhaled, for example if the person is unconscious.
  6. The tooth may survive if it has been out up to an hour - if it can't be reinserted immediately keep it in milk.
  7. Whether or not it has been reinserted, see a dentist. The dentist may have to splint it.

Yes, you can. A few years ago I was swimming at my friend's house in her pool and I went to push up on the side of the pool to get out instead of doing it the long way and using the pool's stairs. I banged my mouth on the pool's edge (cement :( ) and it fell out into my hand. Luckily it wasn't all of the tooth. It CAN be bonded. KEEP the tooth if it does fall out, or in my case, get knocked out! IT can be fixed, don't worry. If the root came out with it (Mine didnt luckily) put it in milk. I dont know why but thats suppose to help try to keep it alive. GO to a dentist immediatly and see. But yes, it can be put back in! Afterall, mine was (although only SOME of mine came out). Mine is bonded and nobody even knows! lol :)

IT is possible to get a knocked out tooth to reattach, under some circumstances. The tooth has to be stored right, and you need to get to a dentist within hours.

What do you do if you lost or chipped your tooth?

Well there are a few things, if you are between the ages of 2-6, you put your lost tooth under your pillow in hopes that the Tooth Fairy will come. If you are an adult and you lost an adult tooth, you may get a cap. If you're tooth is chipped, you go to a dentist office and get a filling. Also if you have the chip and it is sizable, you should put it in a baggie of milk and your dentist may be able to reattch it. (I chipped my front two teeth and they just cemented the chips back on to make them look realistic.)

Can bone come out with a tooth removal?

No, but you often have bits of hard material surfacing in the socket which you can pick out. You would be forgiven for thinking it's bone. Your tooth is actually sort of cemented into the bone, for want of a better description, and it's bits of this material that you are seeing. I have personally had bits surfacing for a week after.

What do you do with a wobbly back tooth Its really annoying you and it quite sore?

One of the biggest pieces of missing information here is if it is a "baby tooth" or an "adult tooth." If it is a baby tooth, give it a day or two. It will probably come out on its own. If it doesn't, and it continues to be sore, you may need to take the child to the dentist to make sure there are no complications. If it is an adult tooth, you need to go to the dentist for sure. The roots are either deteriorated or broken. There is likely an infection going on. It will need to be repaired or removed. Antibiotics will be needed for sure.
