A business credit card debt can affect someone's personal credit card rating. A credit report for an individual is processed by activity of one's overall credit. This means that having debt for a business credit card can hurt a person's chances of receiving lower interest for a home finance loan.
Call your credit card company and inquire. If you can not get through, cancel the card.
This depends on how you were "added". Were you allowed to use the card as an authorized user, or added to a joint account? In the first situation, it is typical for the bureaus to report the debt on your credit. But, technically, since you never signed a contract accepting liability for any debt, it is not "yours" and you could dispute this. If the latter situation applies to you, then you are jointly liable for the debt and it can show on your credit report for 7 years.
The diffference between a debt card and a credit card is ,in a debt card it's money from your account .In a credit card is when you borrow money from the bank.
seven years
Bankruptcy would be more credit damaging than just having large credit card debt, mainly because it stays on your credit report for longer. One of the biggest disadvantages of filing for bankruptcy is the lasting effect it has on your credit report- typically staying on your report for 7-10 years. With credit card debt there are more flexible options and obviously when you pay the debt and does not stay on your report for as long.

I am a professional debt collector and would say the best answer would be to either contact your credit card company and see to whom they sold the debt, as they no longer own the debt and therefore can not help you rectify the situation. The other option would be to pull a credit report on yourself and check to see if the collection agency is on your report, or if there was an inquiry on your report from a collection agency.
