One can find more information on how to install drivers for the Zebra Label Printer on Windows XP from the official Windows website or the official Zebra Technologies website.
Your problem is not the printer, the problem is availability of windows drivers for the printer. If you find appropriate windows drivers supporting the printer you should not have problems using your laptop with the printer*. *I have assumed that you have windows installed on your laptop.
You must install the drivers for it, and make sure that the driver for the USB hub is also installed.
Install Windows XP mode on Windows 7. Connect your printer. At the taskbar at the top of the XP mode window, click on the USB tab. Select the Kyocera Fs-720 printer. If it asks you if you want to share, click yes. Your printer is now detected by the virtual xp machine. Download the XP Kyocera Fs-720 driver. Install it. Open the document you want to print in the XP mode and print. You cannot print from Windows 7. You have to do so via the xp mode. To print in the future, you will have to always click on the USB tab and share the printer. (This disconnects it from Windows 7 and connects it to the virtual XP mode machine).
The same way you would a desktop. COnnect printer with usb install drivers etc and use normally
Yes. However, this does not mean that your printer will be supported out of the box.
You can usually visit the website for the printer brand that you have and install the drivers from there. If you are having problems, you can visit ehow for help. They have tips on how to do almost anything. For directions on installing a printer, visit http://www.vlerick.com/helpdesk/our_services/faq/software_solution/microsoft/windows/faq_how_to_install_a_printer.html
If your printer has Windows Vista drivers available, they should also work in Windows 7. If your printer is less than 4 years old, it may have drivers available to download off of the manufacturer's website.
Just connect it, it should just install automatically, because it will get all the drivers it needs from windows update automatically
Printer drivers - are small programs that enable the operating software (eg Windows) to recognise that the printer is attached to the computer. They literally allow the printer and computer to 'talk' to each other.
There are Windows 7 drivers for this printer on HP's support site at the link below.
