If you turn your sim into a vampire then you can't go out during the day, even if you have a big window in the house open the sun shining through will kill you. Also if your sim lives with people he/she might bite or kill a family member by accident as they bite people they like. If you sim doesn't live with people then their social bar will go down, making them depressed, as they can't ask friends over in the middle of the night and pets don't like vampires. There is no cheat code. You need to befriend a vampire sim and then ask them to turn. This will not work if you have not befriended a vampire. To turn from a vampire to a regular sim again go to the science faculty and buy the vampirism cure. It cost 3000 simoleons however.
