If you turn your sim into a vampire then you can't go out during the day, even if you have a big window in the house open the sun shining through will kill you. Also if your sim lives with people he/she might bite or kill a family member by accident as they bite people they like. If you sim doesn't live with people then their social bar will go down, making them depressed, as they can't ask friends over in the middle of the night and pets don't like vampires.
