No. Vinyl is a substance all of its own. That's why they may vinyl and latex gloves. So that those who are allergic to latex can use the vinyl. Otherwise there would be no point in making vinyl gloves especially seeing that latex is stronger and more protective than vinyl.

No. Vinyl gloves are too soft and floppy to pound into wood; also, the gloves' fingers will get in the way. I strongly recommend using nails for nails, although screws have been known to work. In soft material, you may use toothpicks for nails.
If the original vinyl floor is still down solid you are supposed to be able to lay another vinyl floor on top. This requires some specific prep work but it can be done. It is a better idea to just remove the vinyl and start with a clean solid surface to apply the new floor. The more layers, the more potential for problems with the layers lifting
