∙ 15y agoYes! They are just like humans and can get badly sunburned. if a dog is in the sun for a long period of time you should give them sunsreen (there are specially types) This is escpecially important for short haired dogs

∙ 12y agoI believe so. I have a boxer-pit bull that likes to lie in the sun and her skin went from pink to a very dark brown. I'm not too sure if it's normal or if it's the possible frostbite that she received before we got her.
