No he is a minor just like that baby will be. That boys mother has all control of him. If he got arrested he cant go to jail because he is a minor. Its his choice not to take care of it.

The person who gave this answer is an idiot and I'm surprised they can even work a computer. 16 year olds go to jail all the time and yes if they have a child they can be made to pay child support.

Do you have to let your baby go with her father in order to get child support?

No, but only gatekeeper mother would foster another fatherless child onto society. Besides, he can get access rights on his own. I teach fathers how to. You should let the baby go with its father whether you get child support or not. The other parent has a legal obligation to support their child. You have a state agency, the Department of Revenue that can assist you with this, but unless this is an abusive, or dangerous father, or you are afraid the father will take the baby and leave the State, yes by all means you should share the job of parenting with him without being paid to do so. The child support issue will work itself out, let him be a father. Your child will grow better for it.

Does a father still have to pay child support after a 16 year old has a baby and receives her own welfare for herself and her baby?

The mother should be responsible since she had custody. The child was under her roof and she should have to handle the situation. You just can't take the support and not be accountable for the child. If the father wants the child, the court should give him the right to have her at this time and the mother should pay him.

Can the mother of a minor who has had a baby dictate what happens with the baby Can she tell the babies mother that she can not let the baby go spend the night at the babies fathers house?

In most cases the mother of the child is considered permanently emancipated as far as the child is concerned. What this means is you can tell her she cannot spend the night with the father, but not that the child cannot spend the night with the father. That is up to the mother and father of the child. If you have what you consider valid concerns about the health and safety of the child while it's with the father, you will have to take your daughter to court.

Can the mother of a 2 month old baby keep the father from seeing the child if they have never been married when the father wants to support and help with care?

nope. if the father is indeed the biological father then he has rights that can not be taken away unless he willingly gives it up by sighning off his rights or it is cort ordered. but in no way can the mother of a child regardless of the age of the child keep the father from seeing his son/and of daughter.
