Can an adult male or female older sibling visiting another male or female adult sibling tell him or her what to do and what not to do based on the older adult sibling's seniority?

Generally, when adult siblings visit each other, no matter what their gender, what activities they pursue is based on what interests them. One sibling being older than the other does not generally come into play in that decision, although the possiblity that it could certainly exits.

A senior sibling definitely has the right and even the responsibility to guide younger siblings, both teens or adults, on the proper way of handling things. Nevertheless, the younger sibling still enjoys the freedom to choose whether or not to follow the older sibling's advice.

It is generally considered rude to tell someone what to do in his or her own home. However, this does not stop some older siblings from doing so. There is no reason that the younger adult sibling is compelled to listen, though.
