yes but it is against the law
Yes, if the are very protective of their owner. Any type of guard dog could kill a person, but if the person had a weapon like a knife, the guard dog would be in danger.
Mastiff breeds are big and strong enough to kill hyenas.
Well one pro could be that the dog may be protecting its owner, like in the situation of a person attacking the dog's owner. And or for police because some dogs are train to fight and if have to kill; I think.

talk to the owner. Don't kill there dog, that is illegal. If you kill there dog and or the human the acts might be posed on your parents. If you want tell Animal Control, they will put it to sleep.
A dog owner is commonly referred to as a "pet parent" or simply as a "dog owner."
When the owner say "Dog you out" they want the dog to go outside, or out of the room that they are not supose to be in or the owner is in there and does not want the dog in that room. That is why the owner or someone will say "Dog you out"
The dog owner is responsible for his dog so you can sue the owner
Basically it's a Constitutional right to protect ones property. If your dog attacks livestock on the livestock owner's property, the owner can protect his/her property. Controlling your dog is the responsible approach. (Please note the spell check option.) you can kill it if you want If it also attacks you then yes you can kill it
You need to make sure your dog never gets loose again so it does not get into that situation again. You need to talk with the livestock owner and offer to pay for damages if the livestock was killed or if the attack causes veterinary expense to the owner. I do not know where you live but in our state a livestock owner has the right to shoot and kill any dog that is either chasing or attacking their livestock. You as the owner would be responsible for your dog being killed since you allowed it into the situation.
The Dog Owner's Liability Act makes the owner of a dog responsible for the dog's actions. If a dog bites someone, for example, the owner is responsible in some cases for the medical bills of the injured person.
It is less about the size of the dog and more about the dog's temperament and the owner's ability to control them. Certain dogs, both large and small, can have high prey instinct and can hunt down and kill peafowl if they are not controlled by their owners.
