yes. That's why ultrasounds are taken. Not only to be sure the baby is growing, but it is also used to determine what stage of growth the baby is in.

The difference between ultraviolet radiation and ultrasound is how they react when inside the body. Ultraviolet radiation attacks the cells and destroys cells that are harmful to the body. Ultrasound is merely a viewing device. Ultrasound is used to detect abnormalities in the body.

Ultrasound is above 18 kilohertz. Infrasound is below 20 hertz.

sonar is used to detect big penises

A Doppler is a higher power than a regular ultrasound and is not routinely used in the first trimester. A ultrasound is used early in the pregnancy to protect the baby.

Difference is in their frequency, audible sound waves is between 12 Hz and 20,000 Hz, Ultrasound waves is any sound that has a frequency beyond the 20,000 Hz limit

Ultrasound cannot be heard as it has a higher frequency than audible sound, with a frequency above 20000Hz.

Ulrasound is sound that is too high pitched for the human ear to hear. Ultrasonic is used to describe a sound as being an ultrasound. So, ultrasonic is an adjective, and ultrasound is a verb.

Infrasound has a frequency below normal hearing. Ultrasound waves have a frequency above the normal range of human hearing.

Infrasound is always smaller or lighter than ultrasound. For example: infrasound can be the sound of a paper clip hitting the floor, and ultrasound can be the sound of two planets colliding.

A hypodense mass looks darker than surrounding tissue on ultrasound. An isodense mass is the same color as surrounding tissue on ultrasound.

"A regular ultrasound is usually a permamently installed piece of medical equipment installed in a doctor's office or a medical provider's facility. A portable ultrasound is an ultrasound that can be carried from one location to another. Portable ultraounds can be particularly useful for treating large animals, for use in remote areas, or for diagnosing the homebound."

An ECG or EKG is a recording of the electrical activity of the heart. An echocardiogram is an ultrasound recording of the heart and its blood flow.

Home Ultrasound Therapy using a portable ultrasound machine can be very effective, just as effective as medical or professional ultrasound units. The difference between a chiropractor of doctor's ultrasound machine and a a home ultrasound machine is the doctor's ultrasound device utilizes continuous waves while a home version uses pulsed ultrasonic waves. This makes the home units safe for the general public, as continuous wave ultrasound can be dangerous if used in the wrong hands. When using a home ultrasound therapy massage machine, you will treat more frequently than if you were have ultrasound treatments at a physical therapist's office, but the results will be the same and in the long run, you will save a substantial amount of money.

By seeing a doctor for a work-up. Often, they will need to do imaging (CT scan, ultrasound) for a definitive diagnosis.

Ultrasound scans are given at roughly between 16 and 22 weeks. More can be scheduled if there is a problem.

Ultrasound is non-invasive and therefore lower risk. It is the use of high-frequency sound waves to visualize the interior of the body, typically to "see" the fetus. Amniocentesis is the extraction of amniotic fluid from the uterus via a big needle.

"Ultrasound" would not seem so mysterious and sci-fi futuristic if it were just called "sound", which is exactly what it is. Ultrasound is a longitudinal mechanical vibration of material that carries energy from one place to another, just like any other sound does. The only difference is that ultrasound happens to be at frequencies higher than what your ear can detect, so when you're around ultrasound, you don't hear anything. Ultrasound is a mechanical wave in material substances, whereas light is an electromagnetic wave that doesn't require any material substance to carry it. Ultrasound travels at the speed of sound ... about 340 meters per second in air at sea level. Light travels at the speed of light ... about 300,000,000 meters per second in vacuum.

The Average annual salary of Ultrasound techs is about $64,380. You can between 16 and 45 dollars an hour.

An ultrasound is where they put gel on what ever part is going to be examined. Then they put a transducer or a wand along the gel. The ultrasound wand creates soundwaves, which in turn creates pictures on the screen. FOr x-rays you're place either against a machine, or under a machine where they will take some still pictures of you.

Ultrasound is particularly useful in distinguishing between intrauterine (within the uterus) and ectopic (outside the uterus) pregnancies.

"Sound" is a mechanical wave traveling through a medium. Ultrasound is sound, but its frequency is higher than humans can hear.

difference between as on and as at

No. Typically it takes somewhere between 3 and 5 weeks after a missed period for it to show up on an ultrasound.

Because ultrasound can distinguish subtle variations between soft, fluid-filled tissues, it is particularly useful in providing diagnostic images of the abdomen.

GA is gestational age which is how far pregnant you are. LMP is last menstrual period, which is the date of the first day. EDD is estimated dte of delivery (40 weeks from the LMP) The EDD may be changed if the ultrasound gestational age differs from the age by LMP by a lot.
