Can antibiotics delay your period if you are on the pill?
Antibiotics can interact with birth control pills, making the birth control pills less effective which means chances for pregnancy can increase. You should use additional contraception during and after antibiotic therapy (at least one more week). A late period can be a signal of pregnancy OR delay because of your sickness. I am assuming that because your were on antibiotics you were sick. If this is so, it is the sickness that will delay your period. With some pills the antibiotics will also make the pill ineffective, so if you had sex in this time you could be pregnant. My guess is your period will be late or delayed because you were sick. You can miss a period on the birth control pill.A few antibiotics can…
Is it likely that you are pregnant if you have a urinary tract infection and are late for your period?
Some people report that while they are on the pill, they don't have their period as much. Though I don't suggest taking birth control for that reason. You can't really make it skip your cycle. Some people have there period not change at all while on the pill. So there is no guarantee that is will delay or skip your period.
Sometimes it can delay ur period but it wont stop it ... the shots stops ur period for three months tho Actually, if you're on the mono kind of pill you can choose when to have your period by simply starting a new pack when you reach the placebo week. If you've been taking the pill for a few months you shouldn't get your period until a couple of days after not taking it.
What are the chances of getting pregnant if you stopped the pill just over a week ago due to antibiotics and had sex 4 days before your period but got your period 2 days early and it was very light?
extremely slim. I do not think you could get pregnant. I don't understand why you stopped taking the pill because you were taking antibiotics. I do know that some women have gotten pregnant while on the pill because they were taking antibiotics. However, 2 weeks into the cycle you can conceive. If not the body releases the egg, that's the period.. The bleeding is the period, in between the bleedings is called the cycle.
If you conceive while on antibiotics making the birth control pill ineffective would you not have a period when starting the sugar pills?
Norethisterone can delay your period, you'd need to get this from your doctor. Norethisterone is a progesterone pill so it overrides the progesterone drop that would trigger menstruation, you take it three times per day from three days before your period is due and continue use up until you want your period to start - once you stop taking the pill there is a sharp decline in progesterone levels which will trigger your period to…
If you are not on the pill but going away and do not want to come on your period. Will your period be delayed if you start to take the pill before you are due on?
No, starting the Pill will not immediately cause a delay in your period and starting the Pill late in your cycle can cause breakthrough bleeding that can last for days or weeks. The pill will start delaying periods after taken for a full cycle, depending on the hormones and your reaction sometimes it takes a couple cycles.
My 13year old daughter is two weeks late with her period she has just stopped her antibiotics can this delay her period?
You took the day after pill 2 times in a month you took a pregnancy test in June it said - but your period hasn't come yet is it normal for the pill to delay your period like that?
It is possible for a morning after pill to cause a disruption in the normal menstrual cycle, but it depends upon the pill taken. One of the most common is Levonorgestrel; sometimes prescribed as l-norgestrel or d-norgestrel. Because of its use of progestogens it can lengthen the luteal phase of menstruation which in turn leads to a general delay or disruption of the normal cycle. In any event if you are concerned or if you…
I'm also on Diane (protip Brenda-35 is exactly the same and half the price) and if you want to delay or even skip your period just skip the white (placebo) pills and take the next yellow (active) pill in the pack. FYI it's not unhealthy or dangerous for you to skip or delay your period for a month or two.
