Anyone who has the necessary know-how and the proper tools--specifically, reference sources for the various parameters the instrument measures--can calibrate a multimeter. It's actually pretty easy: on a multimeter that can be calibrated (a cheap one can't be), there are adjustment potentiometers in it for voltage, current, resistance, and the other parameters the instrument measures. You need a reference source for each parameter--a DC voltage reference would produce, say, 50 volts DC. You connect the meter to the reference and adjust the proper pot until the instrument reads 50 volts DC.

multi-meter is a measuring instrument. multi meter is available in two types. Digital and analog.multi-meter is a multi purpose measuring instrument.we can check resistence, voltage, current &contunuityof a cunducting wire. even we can check the diode, transistor.
Standard buffer solution
To calibrate a light meter, place the meter in an evenly lit environment and adjust the settings to the desired ISO, aperture, and shutter speed. Then, compare the reading on the meter to a known source of light to ensure accuracy, making any necessary adjustments. It's recommended to perform this calibration process regularly to maintain accuracy.
fluke
It is a multi-range multi-meter. V stands for Volts. O stands for Ohms. M stands for milliamps.
Calibrating a pH meter with distilled water is not recommended as distilled water has a neutral pH of around 7.0. It is better to use buffer solutions of known pH values to calibrate the pH meter accurately. Distilled water may not provide the correct reference point for calibration.
To calibrate an RF power meter, you would typically use a calibrated power source at different known power levels. Connect the power source to the input of the power meter and adjust the calibration settings on the power meter until the displayed power matches the known power levels. Repeat this process at multiple power levels to ensure accuracy across the full range of the power meter.
To calibrate a mass flow meter, first ensure that the meter is installed correctly and that the system is free from flow disturbances. Then, use a calibrated reference flow meter to compare the readings of the mass flow meter at various flow rates across its operational range. Adjust the flow meter's settings or coefficients based on the discrepancies observed during testing. Finally, document the calibration results and repeat the process periodically to maintain accuracy.
