Polaris is a star, and it doesn't revolve around any planets. It is possible that other planets revolve around Polaris, but so far I'm not aware that anyone has looked.
Sun can burn the planets if it gets close to anyone. it is predicted by many people that the attraction of sun will increase to a level that it will pull planets from their orbits and that will be the end of days. Most people including myself think that it is a fiction and that it won't happen.

I think because it is such a mystery. I find it had for anyone to believe we are the only living planet. Who knows what is beyond the planets we know today and stars we are discovering every day. There are planets we haven't even named. Life as we know it may not be the same and there is the possibility of us inhabiting those planets. Years ago when man (Columbus, vikings, whoever) came to America would be of no difference than man landing on a planet that could sustain life.
