Can anyone give me 2 reasons why limestone is more likely to be used as a building material than wood?

Limestone is stronger than wood, and doesn't rot, so it will last much longer. That said, it's much more difficult to work with, so although you'd choose limestone for a town hall, you'd probably pick wood for a garden shed!
