For published short stories, I would suggest perusing your local library for anthologies. Good ideas would be to check out anthologies by authors you like, Year's Best _____ anthologies, or anthologies where the requirement was that the story be on a certain topic (vampires, love robots...) that interests you. Then you can pick as many stories as you need from the different anthologies.
There are also literary magazines that specifically showcase short fiction, such as Ploughshares and Granta. You might consider subscribing to these publications or checking their web sites for the latest in contemporary short fiction.

The word "Kleenex" (instead of simply "tissue") was used in one of the short stories in the compliation of popular short stories entitled "Short Story Masterpieces," edited by Warren and Erskine. Does anyone remember in which story the word "Kleenex" appeared?? Thank you.
